Life is good

Hello! It's time for a new Stamp Of The Month at MyCreativeTime. This month it's the Bracket Sentiments set that I've used for my greeting. I also used the Stitched Rectangular Frames And More dies for all the layers. I used the Stitched Oval Dies for the oval. The ice cream cone and face are from the You Make Life Sweet stamp/die set. The patterned papers are from the Sugar Shop 6x6 paper pad by Doodlebug.

I'm totally jelly!

Hello! I hope you had a fabulous 4th of July! I used the new Rosie's Favorites Face Assortment from PeachyKeenStamps for the adorable face on the jellyfish. That super fun jellyfish is from the new Beach Babies Digi Stamp Set by PeachyKeenStamps. I colored the jellyfish with my Copics {I'll list colors below}. After I colored it, I masked it with liquid frisket so I could create the water. I used distress inks and water to make the ocean. Then I rubbed off the liquid frisket and added wink of stella to the jellyfish. Yay for a glittery jellyfish! HA! I used the Stitched Oval Dies and the Stitched Rectangular Frames And More Dies by MyCreativeTime to create my shaker window. I used the banner from the Vintage Label Dies to cut out the greeting that is in the Beach Babies Digi set by PeachyKeenStamps. TIP ALERT- to cut out a digi greeting with a die, first cut scrap paper with the die you want to use. Then lay the "negative" over what you want to cut out and pop the die in place. Secure it with washi tape, and run it through your machine. Voila!

p.s. I use the Silhouette Studio program to work with digi stamps. It's FREE, and super easy to use. You can manipulate the images...flip, enlarge, shrink, etc...Really makes digi's a great addition to your stamping! I was scared of digi's at first, but now I'm hooked! :)

p.p.s. You don't need a Silhouette machine to have the program. I just use it for printing my digi's. Oh, here's a tip, click the button to "show print border" on the mat. Makes squeezing tons of digi's on the mat easy to print...without wasting any space. :)

Hello! I hope your 4th weekend is off to a fabulous start! :) You could make it fabulous-er by picking up some NEW Peachy faces for yourself! HA! I used the brand new Black Eyed Peaches Face Assortment on my adorable fishies. The fishies and sandcastle are from a super cute Beach Babies Digi Stamp Set that will be coming very soon, and I'll come back and link when it's available! I colored the fish, sandcastle, and sand with Copics {I'll list colors below}. I made the water with broken china, cracked pistachio, salty ocean, and peacock feathers distress inks. I added blobs of glossy accents here and there to make "bubbles". I also added glossy accents to the flag poles, and I added wink of stella here and there as well. Forgot to say that the greeting is also in the Beach Babies Digi Set that is coming very soon. :)

You can check out all the NEW face stamps HERE. There are also some pretty cool bundles available...but most awesomely...they're on SALE! :)

MCT Designer Challenge

Hello! It's challenge time again at MyCreativeTime! This time we have the above photo/sketch to use as jumping off points. The inspiration photo sent me in a patriotic/nautical direction, and I loosely based my card on the sketch. Here's my take...

I used the Stitched Rectangular Frames And More Dies to make the wavy panel. I used the 4x4 Journal And More Die to make the shaker. The greeting is from the Hey Sailor set. The anchor is from the Anchors And Heart Die set.

Have a flippin' amazing summer!

Hello! I hope you're having a flippin' awesome day! :) I had fun coloring this sweet Lulee's Swim Time stamp from PeachyKeenStamps. Isn't she adorable?! And guess what?! She is only $3.50!!! I colored her with Copics {I'll list colors below}. I made a beach for her using distress inks and water. I used antique linen for the sand, peacock feathers for the ocean, and tumbled glass for the sky. For a finishing touch on the Lulee's Swim Time girl, I added wink of stella and glossy accents to her swimmies. The greeting is from the Sit Back And Relax set by MyCreativeTime. It's just perfect because she has "flippers" on. :) I also used the Stitched Rectangular Frames And More Dies by MyCreativeTime

Celebrate you!

Hello! It's Die Of The Month day at MyCreativeTime. This month it's the Stitched Capture Frame die. I've used it on this card to make a shaker. I did some masking to add the hat from the Tweet Me set to the sweet giraffe from the new Hello Baby set. I colored the party giraffe with my Copics. I stamped and cut out the "celebrate" banner from the Chalkboard Birthday set. I shaded it with Copics. I used the 3 Stitched Star Dies and stamped "you" from the Tweet Me set on the little one. I also used the Stitched Rectangular Frames And More Dies for the pink layer. I used the Stitched Grass Die for the grass on the shaker. The papers are from the Sugar Chic and Dreamy collections by Heidi Swapp.

Seas the day

Hello! I love getting more out of my stamps, don't you???!!! For this adorable sea turtle, I used the Dragon Family Face Assortment by PeachyKeenStamps. Yep, dragon faces! I think it makes for a pretty darn cute sea turtle! :) I used this Sea Turtle SVG from MissKateCuttables and my Cricut Explore to cut it out. I cut it from white cardstock, and used my Copics to color it. I used broken china, peacock feathers, and salty ocean distress inks to make the background. The greeting is from the Hey Sailor set by MyCreativeTime. To finish this off, I added blobs of glossy accents...they
look like bubbles. :) OH and she is on a WOBBLE so she swims! :)
